building paku

paku is an asian ecommerce marketplace. this is tevin zhuo’s log of building it: day 365, one episode at a time.

about

hey, i’m tevin.

i like to code

random shit,

whether it’s any

use or not.

oh and also

build companies.

currently building @gopakuglobal on all platforms. this site is the log.

Stacks of taped cardboard boxes of paku orders in a warehouse aisle, cases of Fanta and Japanese snacks on the racks behind
paku orders, boxed and waiting to ship.
gopaku.com on a phone: the paku logo, search, and a banner of Japanese snacks up to 60% off
gopaku.com, the storefront, november 2026.
The gopaku.com storefront on a desktop: logo, search, category menu and the snacks banner

paku, an asian
marketplace

the goal fits in one line: the #1 destination for asian goods. i’m building it in public as @gopakuglobal, with small ai tools on the side so ops hurt less, and an unhealthy interest in margins, supply chains and shipping fast.

episodes

the log of building paku, newest first. every entry is a post.

2025

  1. beginning of the journey first post: why paku, and why write it down. episode 1

track record

before paku, a minecraft server hit 50 players.

then a fortnite org, vialgg.

1.6k turned into 80k on nfts.

and $70k of revenue on amazon.

container ships at the wando welch terminal, 2020. the part of ecommerce nobody posts about, and the part i think about most: shipping.
